It's slight. I can't mimic it, though I probably sound like a total Mormon mom when I am with close friends. But even dudes who are more butch & more masculine than me can sound sound like a Utah mom. It's true.
I can't really describe what it sounds like. I'll try :
It's a bit lazy, but still punctuated. Words run together when & as much as possible. Like, for instance  "Did you go and eat?" becomes -  "Djeet?". -There's a dusting of a Texan drawl. There's an element of how someone would sound if they had just installed a mouth full of orthodontics, tender. It's toothy. Slightly uppity. Judgmental. White. Definitely chemically sprayed with the val, Moon Zappa,  SoCalbeachdude meets Sprite not MountainDew meets FLDS.

1/2 CUP or 1 STICK of BUTTER or BUTTER ALTERNATIVE (SMART BALANCE)
1 CUP of SUGAR or TRUVIA NATURAL SWEETNER BRAND BAKING BLEND

Today is a day for imagining what life would be like without art.  December 01, 2012. World AIDS Day or "Day Without Art". I am proud to have been included in the L.A. Eyeworks "Playlist".  Eyewear designer, owner Gai and her bunch have been selfishly dontaing thousands of dollars towards and participating in the arts and AIDS charities since the beginning… for decades! I love them!
This year I gave them my song "Love is a Stranger", which is on my album MASKED, sung by Robbie Daniels. Today is a day for imagining what life would be like without art. Tomorrow, Sunday, the day of Our Lord.

I am going against the grain of the theme and SMOTHERING YOU with my art & music.

"A day without art" has been the tagline for World AIDS day for years. I like it. So many artists that I have known have been silenced by the AIDS epidemic. So many artists that YOU are familiar with have been silenced by AIDS. It's ongoing. It's a tragedy.

For the second year, I am humbled and honored to have been asked by L.A. Eyeworks to be part of their  WORLD AIDS DAY / DAY WITHOUT ART 2012 – PLAYLIST PROJECT 2012.

Perhaps THIS SATURDAY December 1st, we can all truly take a moment out, and just imagine what a day without art might really feel like. Maybe you can join me in lighting a candle, saying a prayer – taking a moment to reflect on & remember all the amazing artists & loved ones who have been silenced by the AIDS epidemic.

I will update this post when L.A. Eyeworks have publicly announced the line up of the artists and songs included in their very special remembrance and contribution to this important Day of the Year. It's a somber celebration.

This song is included on the new full length album of cover songs by Jer Ber Jones called MASKED. Which will be available on iTunes early in 2013. I am still raising money to cover the expenses of licensing these songs, and as soon as the album is for sale online through iTunes, more the 60% of the proceeds will be going to Anti-Bullying, GLBT, Native American & Transgender charities and programs. JULY 02 2012 I am performing at MUSTACHE MONDAY downtown Los Angeles at La Cita. Cheap and Easy entry. I will be singing 3 or 4 of my new songs at Mustache Mondays, I am also doing a PAPER installation (covering the club interior in paper) – so it's going to be really fun to dance, smoke out, get tipsy & loose & enjoy art & liberty. JULY 21 2012 I am performing a few songs my friend and long time collaborator Calpernia Addam's GODDESS show at Hamuburger Mary's in West Hollywood.
